Just call me Super Slacker...

Easter was my last post...WOW! To say things have been a little crazy around here since then would be an extreme understatement. These 2 boys keep me on my toes, and I LOVE it! Rather than make a separate post about each thing that has gone on since April, I'm just going to make one super LONG post :) Get comfy because this is going to take a while-lol! Here we go...

May:

We had our 1st Annual Crawfish Boil! The year before we had one, but Zach didn't boil the crawfish since it was for his 30th birthday. So this was really the "first" year we had one. It was so much fun, and most importantly, the crawfish were AMAZING!! Not many pics, as my hands were quite messy from eating all of those yummy crawdads :)

Braeden turned 3!! He had a SoccerTots party at a park to celebrate. I took pictures of everything, and then when it came time to sing "Happy Birthday" I was too busy singing, and forgot to take pics :( Braeden had so much fun, and was very happy to finally turn 3! (He was the youngest in his class, and had seen everyone else celebrate their birthday...so for the last month or two before his he kept asking if it was his birthday yet.)

Before his party, Zach and I gave B his birthday present...he was just a little excited ;)

Zach and I headed to St. Thomas the weekend after the birthday party. We had a TON of fun! His company paid for the regionals and their spouses to go to St. Thomas for a week and stay at the Ritz Carlton :) It was beautiful! I wasn't exactly bikini ready, so there aren't too many pics, but here are a few...

June:

We headed to New Orleans and Gulf Shores in June. Zach's cousin, Jessica, got married in New Orleans. It was a beautiful wedding and reception! From there, we continued on to Gulf Shores, Alabama with Zach's family. It was a long trip, but both boys did a great job in the car, and at the beach. We had a great time!!

July:

A pretty uneventful month. By July, Gage had cut 4 teeth, so we had a few sleepless nights :( This was the month that Braeden was FINALLY potty trained! Here's how it went down...I changed a #2 diaper one day, and decided I was tired of changing "man poo's". So I went and got a pair of underwear out of his drawer, put them on him, and asked him if he kept them dry all day, what did he want to get from the store. He told me a baseketball. So, I told him that he'd only get the basketball if he only went potty in the toilet...both pee and poo. He did it...even at nap and bedtime! So the next day we went to Target to get a basketball. The deal for the rest of the week was that if he went in his underwear, that the ball would be mine. DONE. No accidents except for the occassional deep sleep pee spells. There is definitely something to be said for waiting until they're ready :)

August:

School started!! Braeden started 3 year old preschool. He loved it last year, and he loves it again. Here are his first day of school pics from the past few years...he has grown so much!

September:

This was a pretty busy month! We went to a Micky and the Motorcars concert at a park in downtown Conroe, so the kids came too! It was so much fun, and Braeden even got Shane's drumsticks at the end! We went with our good friends Carl, Chelsea, and Carolina...isn't she the cutest?!

Then Braeden had his first fishing experience with Daddy...I tagged along as photographer :)

Then there was the first Longhorn football game of the season! B is such a fan...I'm pretty sure he bleeds orange :) This was also Gage's 1st game ever, and he did great!!

And this month Gage mastered crawling! He was quite the army crawler before, but at 9 months old he finally figured out how to do the "real" crawl, and has been in the middle of everything since then. I LOVE this age!!

October:

More football games this month, Gage started pulling up and cruising (10 months) everywhere, we made a trip to the pumpkin patch, and then there was Halloween!

WHEW! That was a long one...hopefully I can do a better job keeping up with the blog from now on :)
