Let's go huntin'...

for some EASTER EGGS!

Last week I took Braeden to an Easter event at a park in our neighborhood. They had crafts, pictures with the Easter bunny, cookies, and an Easter egg hunt. Braeden had an EGG-cellent time! (couldn't resist...)

Braeden and his buddy, Luke.

Coloring...he's saying "cheeseburger", hence the goofy face :)

Working on "his" bunny. This project wasn't very toddler friendly.

Very focused...

All done!

Hopping around like bunnies!

Waiting in line to see the Easter bunny...

The Easter bunny couldn't see him...

Now he can :) He really liked the bunny!

Gage's first meeting with the Easter bunny!

Time to find some eggs...

Cookie break...

Look at all those eggs!

All done...Happy Easter!!

It's baseball season!

And our house is VERY excited about this! What's really neat is that this is Braeden's 3rd season to watch, but he REALLY gets it this year. He loves watching the Astros on tv, and he always has on his hat and glove. He gets right in front of the tv and copies the pitcher. Then, he'll grab his bat and copy the batter. It. is. SO. Cute! He even told us at the beginning of the season that the Astros aren't good. So, we told him he should go play for them. His response, "Can I mommy? Can I put a uniform on and play on the field? I'm a really good pitcher and hitter!" Oh goodness....this boy does not lack confidence :) Maybe one day he will be on the field...

Luckily we got the chance to go to a game this past weekend. The Astros were playing the Padres, and they WON!! Braeden watched the entire game very intently, with his glove on his hand the ENTIRE game...love it! Gage on the other hand, not a fan quite yet. Though I am glad the Astros won, Gage was much happier when the crowd was not cheering. Hopefully he'll get used to it soon. This noise issue is new to us since Braeden never had a problem with loud places. He used to even sleep through the canons at the UT football games! Either way, we had a great time. Oh, and it was Gage's 4 month birthday the day we went to his 1st Astros game :) More on his 4 month stats in another post...

Here are a couple of pics from the game...

Another day in the park...

It took forever to warm up, and just when it did, now it's hot....that's Houston! For the week or so that it was nice and breezy, warm-ish, and NOT humid, we spent our ENTIRE day outside every day :) Here are some pics from that day. We went to Braeden's favorite place, Market Street (This boy has expensive taste..) with his friend Reese and her mommy. Then we were going to play in the grass area afterwards, but it was closed. So we took a nice walk to nearby Town Green Park, and the kiddos had a blast!

LOVE these frames!

I have recently ordered and hung some of the coolest frames EVER. They are from a company called Organic Bloom, and they are Ahh-mazing! They only sell to photographers, which stinks, BUT a friend of mine happens to be a photographer that sells these frames- woohoo! So if you love these as much as me, check out her page and email her about ordering some. I'm actually about to order some more to continue my stairway collage, and start another grouping in the gameroom.

This one (above) was taken with my phone, but you get the idea :)
And here's a pic from my camera a little closer up. You can't see it very well, but the edges are distressed.

Happy Birthday Zach Daddy!

We celebrated Zach's birthday last weekend. It was a lot of fun, and after celebrating for 3 days, Braeden told me, "It is not Daddy's birthday anymore. It is over. Now it will be my birthday in May, and I will get presents." Oh goodness, we have a birthday monster on our hands! But, he was very excited for his Daddy, and had a lot of fun opening presents with him and singing "Happy Birthday" to him. Here are a few pics and a video from the day...

Braeden's Cool-Cool Trick...

We were out at dinner with Zach's parents a few weeks ago, and while the adults were all talking I guess Braeden got bored. Next thing we know he is doing this new "trick". We had never taught this to him, he just figured it out on his own :) It was hilarious...even the waiters were laughing! So when we got home, we had him do it for the camera. Enjoy!!

Mommy and Daddy vacay!

Zach and I went on his company's annual VIP trip back in February. This year the trip was to Lake Tahoe. It. was. gorgeous! It was not easy leaving a 9 week old behind, but the vacation was much needed, and we were lucky to have great parents that came over in shifts to watch the boys. From the minute we got there, I was shocked by how beautful it was...all of the mountain and snow :) I have never seen mountains, or been in pretty snow. I have seen snow in Chicago once before, and then the occassional Texas snow, but this snow was like nothing I had ever seen. Not to mention, a blizzard came through the 3rd day we were there. I can't wait until we go back, and definitely want to bring the boys! Here are some pics from our trip...
