Beach time...

We were very lucky to go to 2 beaches this summer. We started it off with a trip to Gulf Shores, AL with Zach's family.

Then later in the summer we went to Destin, FL with my family. (Zach couldn't make it due to business-Boo!)

On a side note...we were fortunate to not deal with oil at either of the gulf coast beaches :) That made for one very happy momma!

Braeden's birthday party...

This year we decided to have a baseball themed party. Braeden is quite the little ball player, so it seemed fitting. We had all of the traditional ballpark fare: hamburgers, hotdogs, peanuts, popcorn, etc...plus all of the party essentials: bounce house/slide, baseballs/bats, pinata (a baseball of course!), cookies and cupcakes! Braeden had so much fun playing outside all day with his friends and family. Thanks to all who came and celebrated with us! Here a few pics from the day...

Happy Birthday sweet boy! It has been an amazing 2 years with you, and we can't wait to watch you as you continue to grow!

Special Christmas present...

Most of you already know, but we are expecting Baby #2 on Christmas Day! We found out the day after we got back from Mexico, and were SO excited! I had kind of expected it, but seeing the test say "pregnant" just made it that much more exciting.

This little one gave me lovely nausea during the ENTIRE 1st trimester, even before I knew I was pregnant! I did not have any of that with Braeden, just a few food aversions. So needless to say I was sure that we were having a girl. As we got closer to finding out, I had started to second guess myself, especially since I felt like I was carrying similar to how I did with Braeden. So we were prepared with 2 names when we had our anatomy scan at 18 weeks. Aubrey Michele if it was a girl and Gage Hampton if it was a boy. Braeden could say both, but was really good at saying Gage. I know that little kids don't know, but it was weird how he would talk about the name Gage much more than Aubrey.

Well...Braeden was right! We are having another little boy, and couldn't be happier. Here are some pics from the ultrasound and a proof pic that it is in fact a little BOY!

We can't wait to meet you Gage Hampton! Mommy, Daddy, and Braeden are so VERY excited about our little gift from God! Stay tuned for more about baby Gage...
