Pictures, pictures, and more pictures...

WARNING: This post has a TON of pictures in it, so it's long :)

Many of you probably know this about me, but for those that don't...I LOVE pictures! Unfortunately I am only ok at taking my own, so thankfully I have a couple of friends that are great at it. Stephanie Shirley is a good friend of mine that started her business over a year ago, and she takes great pics! She has 3 boys of her own, so taking a picture of one boy is a piece of cake for her, plus Braeden is a big fan of Ms. Steph :) I decided to have her take some pumpkin (or as B calls it "punkin") patch pics of my little man. They turned out so cute! Check out her website: http://www.stephanieshirley.com/

This is my favorite! He was giving Ms. Steph kisses- lol!!

Another friend of mine, Joyelle Wright, has been taking Braeden's pictures since he was 3 months old. I actually found her when I was looking for a local photographer to take B's pics as a baby, and come to find out we went to high school together. Not just that, but we both used the same photographer for our own weddings, and we had kiddos only a couple of months apart- crazy! Anyhow, she has always taken amazing pics of Braeden and our family :) We did a session with her a few weeks ago for our Christmas cards and a few maternity pics. We went to Mercer Arboretum, and they turned out great! Check out her website: http://www.photographybyjoyelle.com/

Last but not least (I told you there were a lot of pics), Braeden had his school pictures a few weeks ago and we just got them back this week. His teacher told me that he was quite a ham in front of the camera, which was no suprise to me. I always sing the song to him "You're so vein..." because when someone is taking a picture of him, he always wants to see the picture after it's taken-haha! They actually turned out cute for school pics.

Thanksgiving Feast...

Braeden's preschool had their Thanksgiving Feast this past Monday. It was so cute to see him with all of his little friends. They were all a bit "star struck" when they saw the moms and dads there, so needless to say, there was not a whole lot of eating going on (at least that was the case for Mr. B). Here are a few pics from the day. They had quite the spread: chick-fil-a nuggets, fruit, mac n' cheese, juice box, and a cookie :)

Gage update...

I had an ultrasound today to check on a few things that were problems with Braeden's pregnancy. With Braeden I had a short cervix at 33 weeks and was put on bed rest. I also had some problems with my placenta that were found after I delivered Braeden. So today was the day to check those things out AND take a peek at our little guy. I'm happy to report that everything is great! No clots in the placenta and an average length cervix...woo-hoo!! He is also measuring 4lbs 14oz (almost 5lbs), which can be off by a lb or 2 either way. With Braeden at this ultrasound, he weighed right around 4 lbs and 5 weeks later when he was born weighed 8lbs. So if Gage were to follow a similar pattern, then we're talking a 9-10lb baby at full term-no thanks :) Fortunately/unfortunately he is breech right now. This was not what I wanted to hear or see, but I'll take that, and have a healthy baby and prgnancy in return. Plus, I'm not so sure I can (read: want to) push out a baby that big, so we'll see. It's in God's hands...breech babies are that way for a reason, and maybe it is His way of keeping all of the crazy stuff that happened last time from happening again. My doctor will be monitoring Gage's position at every appointment from here out with an ultrasound, so at least I will get to see my little guy a lot :)

It was really fun getting to see Gage, and Braeden liked seeing his little brother. It will be interesting to see what he really looks like, but based on the ultrasound pics, he looks like a mini Braeden. Guess we'll just have to wait. We're so ready for this little guy to be here...6 weeks or less and we'll get to meet him! Below are some pics...

Baby Gage's room...

So it's not completely done, but here are some pics of what is finished so far. We just took some maternity pics, so once I put those pics on the wall and finish accessorizing I will update :)

It's a start...hope you enjoyed. We can't wait to have our sweet little Gage in the room!

Happy Halloween!

As much of a slacker as I am, I can't believe I'm blogging about this so quickly!  But it's the easiest/quickest way to share the pictures from tonight with friends and family. I am happy to report that our little football player (aka Braeden) was very excited about trick or treating this year. A far cry from last year where we only made it out of our cul-de-sac before he was crying. Here are some pics from our night. We went with a football theme for all of our costumes: B was a UT football player, Zach was a referee, and Gage and I were a football!

Before we headed out:

Some dirt and worms we brought to a party on our street:

Our candy bowl we set out before we left:

Out and about:

Our bowl when we got back:

A few more pics to finish off the night:

For those of you wondering, BCS are Braeden's initials, but we like to joke around that he will be playing in a BCS bowl one day with a name like that :)

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

My new love...

Sleeping has become somewhat nonexistent these days. Between needing to get up to go to the bathroom, and not being able to breathe because of my allergies, good sleep happens rarely. So what to do when you can't sleep? Turn on the tv and watch infomercials! Yep, between 3-5 am there isn't a whole lot on tv, but there are TONS of infomercials. Usually I am not a believer, but I think my nesting got the best of me a few nights ago...

I have become obsessive over cleaning my floors. They just never seem clean enough, and I WILL NOT get on my hands and knees to scrub them. The back pain afterwards is just not worth it. Fortunately, I was up on one of those lovely nights battling my allergies when I flip the channel to the Shark Steam Pocket Mop infomercial. Let me tell you...I wanted to order that thing right then and there, and take it down stairs and use it immediately. My problem...shipping time :( If I ordered it through the tv I would have to WAIT for it to get here. I'm not one for a lot of patience, so the very next morning I got my handy computer out and googled for it. Read some more glowing reviews about it, and found out that Bed Bath and Beyond sells it...woo-hoo! Plus, now I could use the ever-popular 20% coupon. So off we went to BBB and got our Shark mop. As much as I wanted to try it as soon as we got home, I decided to wait until after B was in bed. It was like Christmas morning when the kids want everything they open taken out of the box right away and put together so they can use it that instance. Well, picture that but replace the kiddos with a 7 month pregnant momma and the toy is a mop. Not even 30 minutes later, my floors we perfection! That steam mop worked wonders on the tile. I even took a paper towel to the floor afterwards to see if there was any dirt left behind....NOTHING! This mop is as amazing as the infomercial said it was, and that makes for one happy nesting momma! (on a side note: the floors don't dry as fast as the infomercial says, but they do dry faster than mopping and swiffering.)
